MDC released Firefox 2 late August as Beta 2. This release is the fifth developer milestones which focuses on testing core functionality and changes in the platform.

Among the features of the new Firefox are:

• Built in Phishing Protection
• Enhanced search engine management and search suggestions for Google, Yahoo! and Answers.com
• Firefox will resume from where you left off after a system crash or browser restart
• Inline spell checking in Web forms
• The ability to create bookmarks with “Live Titles” for Web sites that offer microsummaries
